Camphor essential oil is obtained from the branches of the camphor tree. It has a strong and penetrating odor. It is an essential oil with analgesic, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, cardiac, carminative, diuretic, febrifuge, hypertensive, insecticidal, laxative, rubefacient, stimulant, sudorific, vermifuge, and vulnerary properties.
Camphor oil can be used as an aid in the treatment of depression, acne, inflammation, arthritis, muscle pain and general pain, sprains, rheumatism, bronchitis, cough, colds, flu, fever, and infectious diseases.
Since this oil can be toxic, it should not be used in aromatherapy massages, but you can add a few drops of camphor oil to your vaporizer and enjoy steam therapy. It has beneficial effects for the heart, helps to “clear” the lungs by relieving respiratory problems, and stimulates circulation. It may also have a calming effect on nervous system disorders.

A powerful oil, very stimulating. Overdosing could cause vomiting. Should be avoided in pregnancy and by people suffering from epilepsy, asthma and hipertension.
